The Sherwood Fire Department is seeking motivated, service-driven individuals who are ready to protect and serve their community. Our department provides professional fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and public education to the citizens of Sherwood.

Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 20 years of age upon date of hire.
IFSAC Firefighter 1 & 2 preferred, but not required at the time of hire.
Will be required to obtain IFSAC Firefighter 1 & 2 from the Arkansas Fire Training Academy & EMT-B.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Must have a high school diploma.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.

New Hire Testing:
Testing announcements will be made when are ready to give another test. You can receive extra points on the test for the items below.
1 point for IFSAC Firefighter 1 certification.
1 point for IFSAC Firefighter 2 certification.
1 point for EMT certification.
1 point for Paramedic certification.
1 point for prior/current military.
